2024 Ride to Conquer Cancer
Dear CSP Members:
We are happy to announce that CSP will continue its support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s (PMCC) Ride to Conquer Cancer (RTCC) by working alongside Odyssey Medical and fielding bike, motorcycle, and vehicle medical response teams to support these amazing riders as they bike over 200 km between Toronto and Niagara Falls. As one of the largest Four Seasons events over the summer, we are reaching out because we would love your help!
Key info:
Dates: June 8-9. Meeting near the Enercare Centre in Toronto early Satruday morning, sleeping in tents (or arranged accommodations) in Hamilton Saturday evening, and bussing home from Niagara Sunday. There is also a reverse option of Niagara -> Toronto -> Niagara.
Details: Biking alongside and providing medical response services to >3500 RTCC riders over 100km/day for 2 consecutive days. We will assist with accidents ranging from small cuts and abrasions to more serious events requiring CPR + AED. You will be expected to ride with a stocked kit (more info to come) and will be well supported with motorcycles and vehicles.
Positions available: Bike (60+), Vehicle (6), Tent (static; ~15), Motorcycle (inquire at: motorcycle-eru@skipatrolcentral.com).
Those interested: please join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/csprtcc or e-mail CSPRTCC@gmail.com if you don’t have Facebook for more details on how to register properly and if you have any questions.
Additional info:
RTCC is Canada’s largest and most impactful cycling fundraiser. All proceeds directly benefit PMCC, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. Each year it brings thousands together to help accelerate life-saving cancer research. While each Rider has their own reason for riding, we are all heading towards the same goal: Conquer Cancer in Our Lifetime.
Thansks!
