Please enrol now to secure your spot on the course(s) you need to patrol next season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Returning patroller requalification:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As in previous years, courses are scheduled in September, with both weekend and midweek evening options in the GTA and Barrie\/Collingwood areas. Act now to secure a seat on your preferred course offering by registering as a returning patroller and selecting your course. Access to elearning will be announced once it\u2019s available.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>AFA New Candidate courses for returning On-Snow First patrollers:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Courses are filling up fast. Register for next season and enrol now so you don\u2019t miss out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Completion of the 2025 AFA Skills Record<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete AFA skills are a <strong>mandatory prerequisite<\/strong> to attend a returning patroller AFA Requalification course in September. Returning patrollers (excluding those in the On-Snow First cohort) are responsible to complete their AFA skills by May 31st. Contact your patrol\u2019s AFA Coordinator or Patrol Leader if you still have outstanding skills to complete.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: an end of season skill completion session is being hosted by a group of Collingwood area instructors on Saturday, May 3rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enrol in ZIMS: Personal Menu&gt;&gt;Courses&gt;&gt;First Aid&gt;&gt;AFA Requalification course- Returning Patrollers&gt;&gt;AFA Skills Record Completion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>AFA Instructor Requalification\/Recertification:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AFA Requalification for AFA instructors and instructor trainers happens is three phases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prerequisites: AFA Skills Record, Elearning, AFA Written Exam, BLS Written Exam\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AFA Requalification: BLS Skills, PA Skill Evaluation, Diagnostic Evaluation. Five one-day or two evening courses are scheduled during May.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ICP Professional Development.
