The Canadian Ski Patrol System is a National, not for profit volunteer-based organization, which provides first aid and rescue services to ski resorts across Canada.
Our organization operates under the governance of a National Board of Directors, with administrative Divisions overseeing the 65 Operational Zones.
The Zone has been in operation since 1956.
Central Zone has over 750 active patrollers covering the various resorts in the Greater Toronto, Barrie and Collingwood areas, making Central Zone one of the largest zones in the country.
Our dedicated team of volunteers are highly trained and skilled in first aid procedures which ensures that the public can ski and snowboard safely and with confidence knowing that our trained volunteers are there to help should the need occur.
In addition to our winter commitments Central Zone Patrollers also volunteer their first aid skills to many of the Summer Events that take place in our local communities including Volleyball Tournaments, Marathons and Mountain Bike Races.
Central Zone Patrollers share an enthusiasm for the outdoors with many of our patrollers participating in mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, canoeing, and many other outdoor activities.
